No act of charity is foreign to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul-Toledo. We are committed to helping those in need, no matter the need. Our programs attempt to answer Jesus’ call to feed the hungry and clothe the poor. We meet Him in those whom we serve. Here are some of the programs available:
Looking after our senior citizens to help keep them healthy and safe.
Providing food and sustenance to hundreds of hungry families. Food, paper goods, and diapers are obtained from monthly Sunday collections, donations from individuals and vendors, and local food banks.
CLOTHING & FURNITURE
Offering the basic necessities of life to the needy, answering Jesus’ call to clothe the poor.
Securing transportation for those who don’t own a car.
Working with banks and landlords to provide housing.
Lending an ear and arranging for professional counseling services. Referring the needy to social service agencies that can provide in-depth help.
Making payments and working with utility companies on arrangements for past-due bills
Providing assistance for healthcare costs. Purchasing medicine for those who can’t afford it.
